rainy days

This week I have diversified.

For a few hours I became an informal florist assistant arranging beautiful flowers in a very informal fashion.

alongside  Peonies, Roses and Stocks.

I filled  jugs with wonderful combinations of blues, greens and cream

all to be taken to church in the early hours of Sunday morning with bouquets and buttonholes ready for a wedding.  I think it will have been a beautiful event and have heard that the bride loved the flowers.

Today I started a leaping hare on linen.

I think he may be one of several because sewing on that linen is simply wonderful!

p.s. Apologies for the lack of Blanket Appeal updates. The blanket situation is looking much healthier and this will be illustrated as soon as the rain stops.  My Totaliser is created from chalk on a garden wall and is looking a bit sad.  When the sun shines I promise.
